Kantha Blanket

The journey of these Kantha quilts started over a year ago. Hand-made in India; they traveled across the ocean to Macchia. Purchased initially as a gift for our Select and Elite Wine Club Members, we ordered extras to sell to you. Kantha quilts were originally made for the most basic and practical purpose, to keep warm. Started from Bangladesh, women would take their discarded saris and other cloth scraps and sew them together by hand with a simple running stitch. Each blanket takes 24-48 hours to handcraft. Kantha Quilts sell for upwards of $350.00.
