2023 Adventurous, Zinfandel, Linsteadt Vineyard, Amador County
This wine comes to us from a beautifully head-trained vineyard right in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. We consider this to be our flagship wine, and with good reason. It sells out every year. This Adventurous pepper-lace zinfandel is not for the faint of heart. It’s a Big Zin in every sense of the word, even by Mountain standards. It begins with rich, ripe raspberry fruit and is followed by the exotic black and white pepper spice that the appellation is known for. The finish is filled with lingering nuances of creamy vanilla and buckwheat.

Monterey International Wine Competition: This leans toward the rustic, with edgy oak notes and a fair amount of alcoholic heat. This will of course endear fans of the style, as it should. It’s built for the stinkiest cheese you can find, or try it with barbeque!
