Monterey International Wine Competition: There’s a lot of toasted oak here, lending coffee aromas and flavors to uber-ripe fruit character that lingers through the coffee and the heat. An interesting take on the variety, to be sure. Medium to strong cheese with dried fruit and nuts would work well with this.
